What’s the difference between aluminium and uPVC doors?
Aluminium is premium, slim and ultra-strong perfect for bi-fold and large sliding patio doors with maximum glass. uPVC is cost-effective, highly energy-efficient and low maintenance — ideal for front, back and side entrance doors on a budget.
Are aluminium and uPVC doors energy efficient?
Yes. Both are A-rated. uPVC has a multi-chamber profile that traps heat. Aluminium has a polyamide thermal break that stops cold bridging. Both achieve U-values as low as 1.0 W/m²K and help lower heating bills.
Are aluminium and uPVC doors secure?
Both are PAS24 tested and Secured by Design approved. We fit multi-point locking, 3-star anti-snap cylinders and reinforced frames. Aluminium is inherently stronger for large spans; uPVC composite has a solid 48mm timber core.
What colours and finishes do you offer?
uPVC comes in White, Anthracite Grey, Black, Chartwell Green and woodgrain foils with dual colour inside or outside. Aluminium comes in 150+ RAL colours, matte or gloss, with slim 35mm sightlines.
