Bay & Bow WindowsExpansive, Secure & A-Rated Efficient
Our Bay and Bow Windows create more space, light and panoramic views. Available as 3-section Bay, 5-section Bow, and bespoke angled designs in uPVC, aluminium & timber. Britain’s favourite feature window with A-rated thermal efficiency and PAS 24 security.
Bay & Bow Windows Explained
A Bay and Bow Windowis a projecting window that extends outward from your home to create extra space, light and panoramic views. A Bay Window typically uses 3 sections angled at 90°, 135° or 150°, while a Bow Window uses 4 or 5 sections to create a softer, curved projection.
Unlike a standard flat casement window that sits flush with your wall, a Bay & Bow projects beyond the building line supported by a cill, bay pole and insulated base. This design not only adds usable floor space and a deep window seat, but also captures light from three directions and adds architectural character inside and out.
At Win-Doors INT LTD we offer Bay & Bow Windows in uPVC & aluminium engineered, with configurations including 3-section Bay, 5-section Bow, Box Bay, and fixed + casement combos for ventilation. All are A-rated for energy efficiency, PAS 24 secure and made-to-measure in London.

Inspired by nature
Woodec
Woodec illustrates the appearance of real wood with a unique character combined with all the advantages of our excellent product range. This is what the new Woodec decorative foils offer. Not only is it difficult to distinguish visually from the natural material, but the Woodec foil also recreates wood very realistically to the touch, thanks in part to deep embossing and a matte top layer.

Inspired by style
Aludec
The attractive surface of Aludec decorative foils, distinguished by a unique fine-grained, matt surface with a similar finish to powder-coated aluminium, is a fabulous option that suits contemporary modern minimalist designs.
The new Aludec foils follow this trend, offered in seven attractive shades ranging from whites and greys, brown, jet black, anthracite, and a metallic finish.

Bay & Bow Windows – Frequently Asked Questions
Everything homeowners want to know about our uPVC, aluminium and heritage bay & bow windows.
What is a Bay & Bow Window?
A bay & bow window is a projection window that extends outward from your home’s main wall, creating more space, more light, and a wider view.
Unlike a flat window, it is built from 3 or more panels angled together to form a bay, or 4-6 panels in a gentle curve to form a bow.
The Difference:
- Bay Window:
- Structure: Made of 3 panels
- Shape: Angular 1 large central picture window with 2 smaller windows angled at 30° or 45°
- Look: More defined, architectural and modern. Creates a deep, usable sill that can be used as a window seat or storage.
- View: Wide, 3-directional view.
- Bow Window:
- Structure: Made of 4 to 6 panels
- Shape: Curved panels joined in a gentle, continuous curve to form a soft arc
- Look: More elegant, graceful and traditional. Creates a beautiful curved panoramic effect inside and out.
- View: True panoramic view up to 180°.

Are bay & bow windows energy efficient?
Yes, when engineered correctly, bay & bow windows are highly energy efficient and can significantly reduce heat loss.
At Windoors, our bay & bow windows are built for UK energy standards
- Multi-Chambered Profiles: Our uPVC and aluminium profiles trap air inside the frame itself, preventing heat from escaping.
- High-Performance Glazing: Available with A-rated double or triple glazing, low-E glass and warm-edge spacer bars to retain heat in winter and keep your home cool in summer.
- Precision Sealing: Because bay & bow windows have multiple angled joints, sealing is critical. Our factory-engineered corner posts and structural bays are fully insulated and weather-sealed to eliminate drafts and cold spots.
- Thermally Broken Aluminium: Our aluminium bay & bow options include a polyamide thermal break that stops heat transfer through the metal.
